[edit] Introduction
Enterprise Nation is a small business support network. It comprises businesses and business advisers who serve as partners to assist new and established organisations. Enterprise Nation works with its partners to find resources that will help the emerging businesses launch and grow.
[edit] History
Enterprise Nation has been supporting businesses since 2005. The Enterprise Nation community includes 70,000 small businesses and their affiliates (2020). A number of corporate partners provide services on behalf of the organisation. Partners include organisations across several sectors and include the University of Brighton, TOG (The Office Group), TSB, Facebook and others.
[edit] Amazon Small Business Accelerator
In June 2020, Amazon and Enterprise Nation launched the Amazon Small Business Accelerator, which includes training for businesses at all stages - including startups - through bootcamps and virtual academies. Online learning includes courses such as website building, sales, cashflow management, identifying growth opportunities and more.
[edit] Recovery Advice for Business scheme
Backed by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Enterprise Nation teamed up with the Professional and Business Services Sector in 2020 to provide advice to help businesses recover from the impact of COVID-19.
Efforts will be supported by experts from professional bodies and trade associations including the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the Advertising Association, the Law Society and the Management Consultancies Association and so on. These groups will offer free calls on topics from accounting to advertising to human resources to legal affairs.
Through this offering, businesses can sign up to use the online diagnostic tool which serves as a health check. Participants then receive recommendations for suitable advisers, information and activities.
